50+ Travel

50+ Travel Program

Luepke Center
1009 E. McLoughlin Boulevard
Vancouver, WA

Meet new friends and see things you've never seen in the 50+ Travel Program! If you're age 50 or better, you could be going on affordable day trips, exploring attractions, events, festivals and culture in the Pacific Northwest. Trips are planned and escorted by trained volunteers, and are offered in varying categories of difficulty.

Current Trip Information
See the Senior Messenger newspaper for upcoming trips.

See the trips listed in the Recreation Catalog.

Free Quarterly Travel Fairs
Join us from 9 to 10 a.m. once a quarter in the Marshall Center Oak Room for detailed information on trips, and an informal opportunity for questions with the travel agents.

People with Disabilities
Reasonable accommodations will be made on request for persons with disabilities. Call Teresa Williamson at 487-7060 for the required Inclusion Request form. Please allow 10 working days advance notice of a need for accommodation to register for day trips.

Applications for volunteer drivers and escorts always accepted
All volunteers must pass a criminal history check, be patient and pleasant, be willing to be trained in First Aid/CPR and blood borne pathogens and attend a monthly meeting. Drivers must also have a current Washington State driver's license, with a clean 5-year driving record, be able to drive a 15-passenger van and a wheelchair accessible van after training (does not require commercial license), and be available to drive at least two days a month including weekend days if needed. Escorts need strong initiative, organizational and leadership skills and need to be acquainted with points of interest within the day-trip area. Escorts plan, organize and lead two or more day-trips a month after training.

For further information call or e-mail Becky Anderson, 360-487-7084.
