Neighborhoods
Although planting season is over for the year, we are working with individuals, groups and organizations to plan for the next planting season, which begins this fall!
If you are interested in coordinating a planting project, want to help at a planting or would like more information on how to get involved call 619-1108.
Check out other upcoming volunteer events and trainings with Friends of Trees, our non-profit partner organization.
Parks
There are no park projects scheduled at this time. Contact Urban Forestry if you would like to beautify and add trees
to your nieghborhood park.
Natural Areas
There are several natural area sites throughout Vancouver that have an ongoing restoration need. Projects at each site
include young tree care, mulching, and removing invasives. These are great projects for groups.

Clay Canyon, Ellsworth Springs neighborhood
Friendship Park, near Leverich Park
Starke Park, Fircrest neighborhood

A series of free educational workshops all about trees hosted by Vancouver Urban Forestry.
Heritage Tree Bike Ride

Esther Short Park, W 6th & Columbia
Visit some of Vancouver's most celebrated Heritage Trees on an enjoyable 4-mile guided bicycle ride. The flat, easy bicycle route
begins and ends at Esther Short Park, near the Clock Tower. Admire trees whose legacies connect residents of Vancouver to the proud past of our region.
Participants on the ride must respect private property, wear helmets, and obey all traffic laws. This event is free and family
friendly.
Tree ID Walk
6:00 to approximately 7:30 p.m.

Marshall Community Park, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.
The walk will begin near the playground at Marshall Park and continue to the grounds of Clark College and back. The workshop will focus
on basic tree terminology and how to identify some common landscape and native trees in Vancouver.
All workshops are FREE, but registration is required.
