The annual Old Apple Tree Festival is a celebration centered on the oldest living apple tree in the Northwest, which was planted at Fort Vancouver in 1826.
Old Apple Tree Park, located on Columbia Way just east of Interstate 5 Bridge, hosts the festival each year on the first Saturday in October.
The free festival focuses on proper tree care, Heritage Trees, trees as our community's legacy, and the benefits of trees. Throughout the day the Urban Forestry Commission gives away Washington-grown apples and cuttings from the Old Apple Tree. This is a family friendly event with activities and games for children, live music and food.
